Not quite a staple on the surf map yet, Cuba has a very small population of surfers. Within that group there are even fewer women who surf. Yaliana Guerrero, a professional dolphin trainer for the national aquarium, is one of the early influencers.

Without access to materials or modern equipment people who surf in Cuba are generally forced to get creative – and there is no shortage of creativity or heart in this short documentary. It focuses in on Yaliana and her aspiration to recruit more women to join her in the ocean.
