Surfaid is running a benefit surf contest in Malibu on September 9, 2017. The contest requires teams of four to raise at least $5,000 for the organization in order to compete. A professional surfer will be added to each team, with first picks going to groups that bring in the most money. Because it doesn’t run until September there is plenty of time to get your team together and pull in funds for Surfaid. Go to this link to learn more about registering a team and getting involved. Why wouldn’t you want to surf Malibu and support a good cause?
Here’s footage from last year’s event in Malibu.
Surfaid is “a non-profit humanitarian organisation whose aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing.”
Some of the sponsors for the event include Firewire Surfboards, Sticky Bumps Wax, and Aluminati Skateboards.
