Mavs In Slow Motion – A Different Take And Short Interview With Adam Warmington

Mavericks is a beast – heavy, dark, gnarly, aggressive, sometimes lethal. Slow it down, though, add a touch of piano and a different perspective of the fabled big wave emerges:

Adam Warmington, the creative force behind this video, is a photographer and director at the helm of an Emmy Award winning creative production company. The Good Brine asked him a few questions about his unique take on Mavs and where people can go to access more of his work.

GB: How long have you been working with film?

Adam Warmington: 15 years.

GB: What’s your goal as a filmmaker?

Adam: To make human centric stories that uplift people.

GB: What was your motivation for creating the Mavericks piece?

Adam: Honestly I got an email from one of the fishing boats and just decided to go out there on a whim. I’d seen a lot of similar stuff from Mavs and felt like making something different.

GB: How did the decision to use piano based background music and slow motion in the Mavs piece come about?

Adam: In slow motion it looks like ballet or something, not super aggressive. The music just fit.

GB: Where can people find more of your work?

Adam: www.adamwarmington.com
