“Changing lives one wave at a time” – CSP
City Surf Project is a nonprofit organization on a mission “to teach underrepresented Bay Area youth valuable life skills through the sport of surfing.” By collaborating with local high schools and offering ocean based physical education classes, field trips, and leadership training programs they’ve been able to connect with and inspire youth in new ways.
While City Surf Project has been sharing their passion and successfully connecting with teens for the last three years, demand for their program is increasing. In light of this the organization is currently stepping things up and aiming to reach further into the communities they serve. As part of a campaign to fortify and expand they’re hosting a celebration and fundraising event on November 4th, 2017 at 111 Minna Gallery from 7:00 PM to 12:00 midnight.
The event will include food from Little Chihuahua, live music from Coast Tribe, a silent auction, visual art, drinks, and good times. Some of the prizes on offer are surfboards, Raiders tickets, GoPros, Patagonia and NorCal Surf Shop packages, artwork by prominent artists, and more.
So, get involved, support a great cause, and enjoy an epic night of philanthropy. Be inspired and make a difference in the lives of those who really need it.
